rated for 600# take out a leaf or 2 and dropp the air in the tires for lighter loads and bouncing shouldnt be a problem.

I had a similar issue with the speed rating on my "Trailer in a "Bag" I went to Farm & Fleet (like a Tractor Supply Co. etc) with one of the wheels and got the tallest wheel/tire they had with the same lug pattern & a speed rating for the highway. One thing to keep in mind is a larger circumference reduces the rpms at any given speed by the same ratio. That reduces bearing heat and wear.
(and yeah, nothing beats a Bushtec, but I can't fit a dead bike in one )

+1 on the above. I pulled mine across Texas, New Mexico and Arizona doing 85mph. When we stopped for fuel, I would put my hand on the tires and bearing caps. They were not even warm to the touch. Delphi trailer forum has hundreds of testimonies to these home builts. I would like to own a Bushtec also, but at this time I can't justify the $$s for a trailer that I pull maybe twice a year.

I have a piggy backer that I bought in April of 2007. I pulled it about 400 miles. It is a great little trailer. I had a change of plans and need to sell it. I am asking $400. I can send pictures. Email billymyers56@gmail.com.

I have the Harbor Frieght trailer. I like it. The box said 45mph, The instructions say 55mph. I did alot of checking before I bought it. Mostly it is a manufacturers CYA thing. The 600# is for pulling behind the car. For a bike the rating is 200# and to me thats plenty. I pulled it empty at various speeds up to 75 with no problem. Some slight bouncing. We then loaded it and went to the beach with it, Maybe 50 to 60 pounds weight. Again up to 70mph with no problem. Only thing I dont like is there isnt any thing to bolt down the back of the leaf springs and I have put in rubber to quiet it down on bumps. Another is that it swayed a vert tiny bit while passing a semi. I dont travel much on the interstate so I dont think that is much of a problem. Do your self a favor and add a 3rd brake light to the lid. You cant see the bikes lights with the trailer attached. I was going to get a Piggybacker but this is almost the same thing for less money. I attached a pic of it on my bike.
