Default Tank Medallion or NOT?

On my custion paint CVO

Is it worth re-attaching the tank medallion?

I love the look of the medallion and the original plan was for re-installation…….

But the medallion does not fit completely flat on the tank (original application). It has small fine gaps that will allow wax build up.

How can I clean under those gaps?

Would you re-apply the Tank Emblem Medallion?

Or have a Custom H/D insignia applied?

Is it a PIA to clean around the tank emblem medallion and worth ever minute of being a PIA.

Sorry don't meen to sound like an AZZ.......... I'm just an EXCITED AZZ....

I do enjoy my dilemma………..

Do you have pics of your bike in its original state and with the new paint?

John

She's still being painted, all color is finished, just clear coats to finish. They expect to finish by next Friday.

I think a decal looks better, but thats my opinion. Those stinking medallions are coming off my bike, I just don't know when[8D]

I left mine bare but it's really up to you. I might add a smooth HD logo on it someday.

I agree that I prefer painted logo or decal to an emblem. I am not thrilled with the Street Glide emblem and at some point would like to remove it.

But depending on your paint job it may be too bland without something.
