My best guess is that they will run just as hot or hotter than the 96" due to EPA making the MOCO set them up so lean. I personally would start with a fuel management system, which will lead to an air cleaner and exhaust most likely. If you dont want to spend that much, try a oil cooler.
Picked up my Limited Fri afternoon and just got home an hour ago...........667 miles and I didnt have any heat issues........and no!! there isnt syn 3 in it. I would of drained it when i got home if that were the case'!!!

The 2010's are still lean and run hot, hotter with the new catalytic converter. I just bought the 2010 Tri Glide and it runs to hot to last long term. I put a Lenale fan on it and 10 row Jagg, will go synthetic at first 1000 mile service. I would like to do the slipons and SE-AC and Map but am afraid the richened up fuel will just make the Cat worse over time.
Cats may be the quick fix for a water cooled but are death on an air cooled engine.

Reason: puntuastion
We have about 3000 miles on our Ultra Limited now and yes it is hotter than our '08 Heritage Classic. What I found is that it is hot behind the right leg on the calf when the lower fairing shields are open. When the shields are closed, there is less heat . Now we always ride 2-up so my wife's legs behind mine may contribute to how the heat is distributed. Also, the derby cover is very hot and when my leg happens to touch it say while backing the beast up, I can really feel the heat. I don't notice this so much with the Heritage.

I did everything that you mentioned above, plus a 10 row Jagg oil cooler and oil cooler fan and 20W60 synthetic and I managed to reduce my oil temp to 278 degrees from 300 degrees on my '09 103! Still to hot but much better!
I thought Jamie from Fuel Moto stated that the new 2010's run hotter than the 2009's due to the catalytic converters that are now on all the new models.
