Finally got the new Santee 11" Dresser Apes installed along with the chrome master cylinder/clutch perch, switch housings, switch caps and braided cables. Looks fantastic, very pleased with the installation.
Bars feel very comfortable with no more stretching to reach the bars. The 11" height is perfect for me at 5'9". I've heard it said that riding with apes on a bike is like having power steering and I would have to agree with that. Effortless steering and it seems much easier to make tight u-turns. Out on the open road it seems to be much more comfortable as it pushes me back into the backrest. Get my feet up on the highway pegs and its like riding my recliner down the road. I do need to roll them forward a couple inches, got them a little too far back.
All in all its one of the most satisfying mods I've done to the bike since Ive owned it. Heres a few pics to go along with the review.
