Deal, or No Deal?
Wanted an Ultra (I thought) until I rode it-- too doggy... wife hated it (shock)
went back today to the dealer--- this time he throws me a helmet and rolls out a 2009 Street Glide--- Sunglow Red--- Screaming Eagle breather and slip-ons w/SERT download--- sissy bar/backrest installed--- laced wheels (not sure if it had ABS -probably not)
took it for a ride--- much better than the Ultra--- told the sales guy the only thing I need to change is the slip-ons (maybe Rineharts)
he disappears with the finance guy-- calls me in to his office--
finance guy tells me $27,500.00 with extended warranty!!
I choked out an involuntary "WTF!" - I didn't realize it was a CVO I told them--- they look at each other and say, "It's not"---
so sales guy is hemmin and hawin--- cuz it has this and that----- I started to get pissed--- told them both they weren't even CLOSE-
Within 30 seconds finance guy tells me $23,000 out the door, no extended warranty--
good deal or not??? (remember, it is an '09- and CA sales tax
- and they have about 6-7 '09's left)

Geez dude. You made $4,500 in 30 seconds. If I had that job I'd keep working a little longer.
But honestly, I think there are guys out there that are getting 09 Ultras for 23K OTD so I personally think it's not that great of a deal. For me No ABS, No deal.

Let's see.....
1. They have 09's on the floor.
2. They try to hit you with $27,500 when the 2010's are hitting the floor.
3. They try to do you a favor by dropping price to $23,000 on a bike that lists for $19,500.
I know it has extras but I'm not seeing you getting much of a deal. Others can voice their opinions.

Go back tomorrow and see what kind of offer they make. Do the same until it drops to what you can afford. If they are willing to knock $4500 off immediately, imagine the profit margin for them.

I would ask for the same deal they'd give you if you were trading. You know the pretty much unwritten rule that all your 4 thousand dollars in accessories = 0.
I have a 09 Ultra, one color, ABS, with security. 22500 out the door. SC does not have the sales tax you have though...
SGs were like 20500 Out the door.
In this day and age at least ask for MSRP plus the factory accessories and no setup fees. Dealerships are doing it around here daily. I actually got all of that minus another 1000 bucks or something (forgot the math).
