Hi Mac Thanks for the avtar. My hd service manager put a eclipse radio in, 200 w amp and infinity speakers. When i brought my bagger in and had him listen to my stock radio/cd player with my delphi road ready 2 playing through my HOGTUNES he was blown away. He went right over to the computer to order a set but there on back order. You get alot more volume with these speaker. SAVE MONEY buy the HOGTUNE SPEAKERS-$ 100.00- road ready 2 xm sat radio ( got mine on ebay new for $61.00) plays right thru your fm radio and with the extra money buy some more chrome !!!!!!http://www.hogtunes.com/
How did you mount the Road Ready 2? Is there anyway to hardwire it into the bike so that I don't have to have a wire hanging down to the cigarette lighter? Seems like I should be able to tap a wire in the back that is coming off the radio...
Awesome find, I now have one on order. Now, I have another question (are you sick of me yet?) How did you attach the Roady 2 to your bike? Meaning where is the display attached?
Mac this is what i did , I cut the end of the cig adapter off hard wired it to the back of the cig lighter inside fairing, installed a fast burning fuse holder between the two, mounted the magnet antenna on top of break lever, ran wire down with brake cables, then ran power and antenna wire up thru fairing and windshield into my middle of my 3 pocket leather pouch. By using the road ready 2 xm radio you don't have to plug anything into the aux input, everything just plays thru your lower fm stations, also i can take the xm out and put in in my work truck and my personal truck. ( buy the extra antennas on ebay $21.99 ) Hope this helps....... Steve
That helps plenty. Basically, you have the unit itself mounted in your center pouch. Bill Nourse has a pretty nice setup where he has it mounted to the fairing, so that he can see the display all the time. I was wondering if you had done something similar.
Investorsc put a picture up of a Delphi system that was mounted through a center pouch on the windscreen that had a clear plastic piece in front of it...
Thanks for taking the time to post...I may end up with something similar to what you have...any reason why you didn't put the antenna inside the fairing? It should work and I know that is what Bill Nourse did...
One thing you may want to consider Mac, is the marine docking station for the skifi. The only draw back is that it is white in color, (which could be painted), but offers a clear cover for uv and moisture protection.
Mac, I use a RAM mount that I purchased from Cycle Gadgets dot com. Mine is the basic "short" mount that is mounted to the handle bars on the left side of the bike. The possibilities are almost endless on how to mount the reciever.

I didn't find anything for the Roady 2. I really like the windshield mounts in the J&M audio post, but they are for the SkiFi unit only...I need to look around for something. I don't want the unit on my handlbars, though it is a clean install. I had sort of thought to put it up on the fairing somewhere. The white one is close, but not quite right either.
