I am picking up my road glide begining of June. I was curious about the quallity of stock speakers over upgrade speaker. Since this is my first touring bike I had no idea. You guys answered my question. Hogtunes appear to be the way to go. Thanks guys!
Where did you find or face placte for your sony? Did you buy it or make it? Also, did you remove the glove box to install it? Where did you mount the chassis to?

Pilot,
You can buy the antenna relocation kit and then cut it down to about 18 inches and it will still work fine. You can install an antenna amplifier in the batwing and have all the reception you need. As far as your radio goes, the hogtunes speakers are the same impedance, but have huge magnets that can handle the power much better and sound much better as they have better materials. Good luck with your project and also in MB.
A company called BIKETRONICS INC. makes the wiring
harness and installation kit to install the Sony radio in E-Glides. It lets you use the stock controls on the bars
to control the radio.
