pclll adjustments
Alright guy's, put the V&H Big Shot Duals on my 2006 Ultra along with the Ness Big Sucker and the pclll. When I go to the dynojet site it has a map for the Big Shot Duals for an 06 Tourer that apparently is set for the 8 degree injectors. I did what the site suggested to do for the 25 degree injectors and dropped the mid range by 2 light bars and the high by 1 light bar. Bike still didn't seems to run great and the idle kept dropping down to 800-900 area. I reapplied the map with the 8 degree injector settings and the bike is running way too rich. Lots of black soot on the tails. Can anyone give me some specific info on what I need to adjust to get the bike to run half way decent. I will definitely be getting it dynoed but not sure when I can get it in. Any help would be appreciated.
Good example of why a Power Commander is a bit of overkill for a very midly modified engine. A DFO would allow you to simply tune in the fuel delivery for the mods you have for about $100 less.......PC canned maps and tweaking the PC by "hand" are hard to get right on a PC and it really needs to be dyno tuned to get it right. Good news is a PC can handle a whole bunch more future engine mods then a big air kit and free flowing exhaust. I hear your Dynojet Power Commander location at the dealer calling you.......
Thanks fim. I knew a dyno was going to be necessary. I was kind of bewildered as to why when I compared the map on the site for my upgrades to the map I changed to with the bar adjustments they were the same. After further reading on the Dynojet site, it says that when you make changes per the buttons on the faceplate, they are not written to the map. That kind of sucks as I wanted to see exactly where the changes were taking place. I can't seem to find any info on where I would need to make some numerical changes on the site map. Guess I will have to live with the bar adjustments until the dyno.

Could you attach a laptop again and just tweak it that way? Also, I'd check around, I know other people have made custom maps (isn't there a forum on here for that?) that you could look at and apply.

Thanks Phil. I emailed Jamie to see if he could help. I'm not sure if they are going to be willing to give out a map or not. We'll see. Wish I had known about these guy's when I ordered the pclll. Maybe he will have some recommendations on how to adjust the map I have to the 25 degree injectors.
