well if you just installed grips I will bet you broke the front brake switch. There is a small plastic plunger that will break off under the hand brake lever if not done properly. Quick check is to see if the brake light is on all the time.
Very well could be...... I'll stop by a shop & see if they have one on my way home......I'm about 2 hours from any dealer so hope they have one in stock......
If your rpms aren't over I think 2,000 and your speed isn't over maybe 30 mph , I'm not sure what the numbers are, but it won't engage if either or both isn't high enough.

Gotcha...... NO, I was 5
0-70mph which I'm msure was good w/ the rpm's & no go......The more I read, I'm pretty sure I popped that front brake switch plunger.......Thanks though......
Thanks......I don't think the Ultra & RG are compatible???
I'll get home from a 2 week work stint Thursday.....heading out for a memorial ride over the weekend....Hopefully I can get a better feel on what I need to do then...... Thanks again......
Well it WAS the brake Switch....got it replaced, everything works fine now.........What a CRAPPY design that is.........can't beleive that I have to use a piece of cardboard to work on my latest scooter........unfrickin believable.................
Cardboard / Biscuit........either way........it's a pretty shitty design......I've been doing my own wrenching for years & never would have thought that changing a set of grips would cost me 2 bills.........$80 for the grips / $60 for the switch & $60 for the service manual to make sure I dont have any future gremlins bite me in the ***.........
Oh well, it's done now........time to ride............................
