I really like the roadglide, no matter what color they are. I would've bought one over the ultra if they came std. with a tourpak and lowers. If I ever wear my ultra out the shark nose will be my next bike. BTW what exactly is a "squid" I've heard that term a few times on this forum and call me stupid but I've never heard that term before.
I'm glad there are people that buy RG's and love them, really -- I am. That being said, no amount of hyperbole will convince me they aren't fugly. With the 2:1 exhaust, the left side looks like something is missing or the bag shrunk. Sorry, but ick.
Anybody else find it ironic most of the guys calling the Road Glide "fugly" have bikes with rubber front and rear bumpers, ugly lower front fender trim, and "wide load" turn signal bars with signal marker lights the size of pancakes?
Test drove a whole bunch of 2010 HD's today. The new RG Custom is great -- as long as you have a helmet with a shield. Other than that, it tracks like its on rails! Corners great, although I dragged something n the left side a bit too easily.
Tried the new Ultra Limited -- not bad power for stock (103), but what is with the gauges that face my belly-button, the cheapo looking windscreen right in my face, and riding position that makes me feel like I'm riding on the tank?
All in all, I'm sticking with my 08, maybe add a True Track for a whole lot less $$ than upgrading to a 2010.
