Thks to all, in particular CFD and iclick for your experience, however this does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling, ...... I think its time for a GW.......sorry kids....
This is just silly, two peoples opinion and you bail on a 19,000.00 machine. Some people have more money than brains I guess...thanks for stopping by.
GW ain't any better...broken frames, front end wobble, tires dead at 6,000 miles and a tiney trunk....GW no thanks...i'll keep my 06 Black cherry/black pearl Ultra. 30,000 miles and never in shop except tires. 4250 mile trip in 9 days, Sturgis, DevilsTower, Rushmore< Crazy Horse Estes Park and Pikes Peak....I'll keep my Ultra ThanK
You.
I have had the same problem with my 07 SG. I added the "bagger brace" and it is improved but not gone. I also changed the rear tire to the Dunlop E3. Again it helped but it is not gone. It can be an uncomfortable feeling but I only get it when I am riding hard through the turns. 90% of the time I am riding hard but I guess I have become used to it. I considered changing to an 09 but am not crazy about the wider tire (just my opinion) and since I would have to tear into the motor almost immediately I did not want the TBW. You can make it better but doubt you will ever totally get rid of it. It may oscilate but it won't go anywhere in the turns.

Anyway, in an effort to help the OP I sense that all we've done is feed a troll.
Maybe it's just me, but I've not noticed anything weird about the 08 handling issues everyone is talking about. 08 Ultra, about to turn 10k (yeah, mileage is low for some, but I travel alot for work), and I ride the N GA, NC, and TN mountains all the time. I push "Shook" for all she's worth when I ride the twisties and feel dang stable. I had a BMW RT with the Wilber's shocks which kept that bike glued to the road, so I feel I have a pretty good baseline for comparison.
Maybe I got a good one the MOCO made, or maybe the problem will one day rear it's ugly head. Nonetheless, I won't bail on the Ultra. If it gets bad enough to make me nervous when I ride hard in the mountains I'll get another bike made for that and keep "Shook" until death do us part.
Well here's an update....I went out and bought a Bagger Brace and installed it. It seems to have helped to a certain degree but didn't eliminate the problem. I would say it has improved maybe 50%.
