Default Nitrogen Tires
Does anyone recommend putting nitrogen in HD tires? Have an 09 street glide that I have been thinking of doing.

If you plan on doing 300 mph it's a great idea.

It is a waste of money. Its just another thing for people to make money.
The only benefit is less pressure buildup and loss due to temp change. This really is no big deal unless your racing.

you have to evacuate all the old air out first, then if you ever need to add air while on the road, where you gonna find ntg? so you'll have to use regular air then whats the point after that? unless you don't have anything else to spend money on. air can still be had for free.

Regular old air is 78% Nitrogen. Why would you need more?

This is the way of the future. First in I believe 8 yrs the goverment is going to require it. One of the benefits of nitro is longer life on your tires and the other is that when a tire blows it is not as violent as when plain air. As far as adding air , you can add either when it is low.

Really You believe that?

If a tire has 40 psi of air or nitrogen it will blow apart the same.

How is nitrogen going to provide longer tire life? Please explain

read consumer reports articale they say no real improvments in everyday driving waste of money.

and if you add air to top it off you are diluting the Nitro and have to have the system evacuated and recharged. It is a waste of money.
