My new ,used 03 Screaming Eagle Road King makes a load pop out the exhaust when shifting from 1st to second at 2-2500 rpm's and 2nd to third at about the same rpm's. I have the Rinehart true duel, PC111 and Big sucker Air cleaner.
Eastern Performance installed everything and dynoed it for the previous owner. IS this normal or do I have a mapping problem or something else.
It also feels like it missing real bad excelerating in 1st gear and reving the engine with the clutch disengaged. I know it's EFI but it feels like the idle/air mixture screws need adjusting (which I know it doesn't have).
Are these things normal for an A engine especially with the 103ci engine?
I had the same problem. Got the Power Commander wiring harness wet while washing, backfired and popped and finally fouled a spark plug. Check the wiring harness, and change the plugs. Shifting around 2000 RPM is lugging the engine, not good!
My 2000 95 RG do's that same thing Im taking it in for a second time . I think it's intake leak along with the stage 2 down load. It trashed 2 pc3 Im going to try a different wrench this week . Itake leak will mess the fuel ration up .
I checked my exhaust flange nuts tonight and guess what? 2 were missing and the other 2 were just barley on. I ran to home depot and found some 5/16 fine thread nut and put a washer behind it and tighted them as snug as I could get them. I wonder if this could have been some of my missing, popping problems? Will this mean I will have to replace the gaskets? I will ride it tommorrow to see how it performs.
