What years are the Ultras? I have a really heavy-duty jack that I bought from, of all places, Costco. Out of the three bikes in the garage, it only works on one - my Deuce. Stripperella's Hugger is too low - the jack hits her jiffy stand bracket, and on my Ultra, which is a 2007, it either hits the same thing, or gets caught on that cross member in front of the swingarm, and doesn't sit level.

That being said, I now have the Bagger Brace installed, so the cross-member is "filled in". Anyone have any ideas, or am I screwed?

Had to slowly drain the fluid through the release value and onto the garage floor. Followed the suppliers instructions to remove, clean the guts, and re-assemble. Did the same thing!

Got a replacement bottle from the supplier and went through the exact same thing.

They sent me a third bottle. I asked them for a shipping label and I'd send the defectives ones back to them...they said keep them as it would be too costly shipping them back. They finally admitted there was a problem with a run of bottles.

The third one is beginning to show signs of hanging up

Had a Sears yellow for 3 years and then it broke. Replaced it with the J&S and it's much better. I wish I had bought the J&S first. Always had a hard time letting the bike down slow with the Seas jack. It was hit or miss. The J&S allows me to control the speed easily.

That jack looks good. I have the Harbor Frieght jack. 20% off of sale price and it works great. I've heard war stories about jacks that loose pressure and lower back down when your not around so I lift, work and lower it.

Good luck on your jack.

J&S is very sturdy and top notch customer service, made in America, and worth the bucks.
Sears, back when I was shopping around I read over 100 neg customer reveiws.

One of my riding buds has a J & S and has never had a problem. Looks to me like a quality piece of equipment. Bigger, heavier and much more stable than some other, less expensive options. I think if you intend to store your bike on the jack or you need to move it around the shop that the heavier duty quality jacks are the way to go.

I have the Pitbull.

Craftsman all the way! Agreed, you have to get a feel for it when you drop it back to the floor.

use the Sears red jack. had to take the little wheel locking deals off the wheels cause they tended to hang up when moving the bike around. Also won't slide under the 08 UC when it is on the jiffy stand, which is not a big problem, and it rubs slightly when the bike is straight up. None of this iis enough aggravation for me to toss it, but had I known about the other jacks before I bought this one, I probably would have spent the extra $ and got a J & S, or maybe a Pitbull.

"it either hits the same thing, or gets caught on that cross member in front of the swingarm, and doesn't sit level." Quote Cannon,

Don't see the problem. I put the rear runner of the jack on the brace to pick up the bike. Sits level enough, how level does it need to be?????
