I have had the J&S for almost 5 years now. I bought it when the Sears Red jack dropped my bike. Lucky I was only raised 4 inches, and was able to grab it and keep it upright as the jack failed Bought the J&S that day, had it 3 days later, and have had no problems with it on 2 different Ultras, a fattboy and now the wifes deluxe.
Never had to use a strap, no matter whay Ihave done to the bike ( including stripping the tims and replacing them., and changing shocks on the Deluxe)
Moves around the garage easily with the bike on it, without straps and that bike don't move on the jack.
I'm another happy J&S customer. Their customer service is top notch, and I have never had a problem with the jack. It picks up my '07 Ultra easily, and sets her down again just as easily.
Another happy J&S customer here. I first saw them demo the jack at a bike show and decided to buy one on the spot. I've used it since 2001 on a '97 FLSTS, '01 FLHR and an
'07 Ultra. Worked flawlessly every time.
Plus 1 on the J&S My first one there was something wrong with it in that the locks were not even so when you lowered it on the locks only one was tight the other one would swing.
I called them up to let them know and they put a whole new jack in the mail and overnighted it along with them having Fedex pick the other one up.
So far this thing has been great!! I even use it to life the front of my zero turn mower for blade changes.
Great product. I also looked at the pit bull, but cost more and nothing to be gained for the extra cash.
One option I did buy was the oil drain pan, with that in place you can open oil, primary and tranny and drain all 3 at once while it flows down into you pan. Love it
Had a Sears red for years never trusted it. Left my bike one day on it in the up position to get parts, came back and found it on the side stand. Slipped right out of the lock. Bottle would rarely hold. I went online and bought a Pitbull with air assist. Love it. Sturdy as a bastard..no worries. Aside from a table I wouldn't own any other.
Bought a J&S about a week ago, took me a bit to swallow the 300+ dollars, but my bike is my baby and i didnt wat to compromise. Read alot on this forum as well as their website and man am i glad i went this route. QUALITY!!!!
I have to lifts, I have the red one from sears which works ok for quick jobs, but I also bought one from Harbor Freight that I can drive my bike onto and either use my air compressor to lift it or foot pedal. Man that thing works great no tired back etc...
