Help --- 2009 fault codes & electrical problems!!!!
If at all possible I need some help and direction!!!
While riding this evening I notice that my cruise control would not come on with the dash switch pushed down....
I then noticed that I had lost the turn signals, and brake light. All systems normal earlier today.
When I got home I checked for codes, and this is what I got.
In the SP slot I had b1008 showing, and in the t slot I had u1016.
I tried doing a search on here for either of these codes, and was not able to find any info.
If anyone has any ideas of what could be causing this, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try taking off the seat and checking the connections at the ECM. Is what happens sometime is the seat pushes down on the connection and causes problems. Makes sure it is connected properly and is not under stress from the seat. It is an 09 so it will still be under warranty.
Oh you can bet that the dealer will be hearing from me at the exact point they open, seeing that the bike has 1300 miles and I just got it back from having it's 1000 mile service.
Thanks Sparkey,
I was able to find the codes,
B1008 Reset Switch Closed Instruments
U1016 Loss of ICM/ECM Serial Data Instruments
U1016 Loss of ECM Serial Data, Vehicle Speed, Vehicle Inhibit Motion or Powertrain
Now I just need to find out what caused them.... anyone???? Buler?????
Good thing for the warranty.
