Default BadDad Fender Cover vs FBI Fender

I am going to order my rear fender Monday and I am debating the choice. BadDad is a fender cover while the Fat Baggers is a complete fender. I like the looks of the BadDad fender better but I can't get over the fact that a fender cover seems on the surface to be kind of cheesy. So anyone with experience, can you tell that it's a fender cover?

If someone looks at the bike casually, can they see the seams or gaps? Does it vibrate? Help a brother out.

These are the two fenders......thoughts?

I'm no help here, either bag will look killer on your bike.

I don't know if you have any detachable hardware for stuff like Tour Paks, Backrest or and/or luggage racks.
But if you do, make sure you call them and ask about it. I always forget about stuff like that, since I rarely use them. LOL

We use BadDad fenders here. They are pretty easy to deal with and look great. You do have to mock them up and trim, etc before paint like anything like this, but overall they are a good product with great customer service. They will vibrate a little at the bottom running, but nothing that looks bad. We actually rivet on a piece of metal to drop down off of the rear stock fender and mount the BadDad fender to that piece of metal underneath the license plate. Holds it nice and firm, otherwise you will get a lot of flex. The fit and finish looks perfect!

Nope...I went completely detachable and taught my wife to ride her own bike.

I just can't get over the "cover" vs. the true fender. I like the looks of the BadDad fender but I like the idea of a complete fender from FBI instead of a cover.

Hard to tell what the FBI really looks like from that picture. Does the OEM tailight and the signal lights mount through the cutouts? Also...don't overlook ssinisterchoppersstore.com.

I met a guy that bought a street glide all done up from bad dad and this is what I saw. There were stress cracks on the rear fender around where it bolts on and the 21" front wheel expanded and caused the fender paint to bubble. Not what one would expect from a company that seems to be getting popular. The guy really couldn't say enough about his bike and I wasn't going to ruin his day. What would he do- he's in Mass and their in Nevada (I think) spending his 35k

+1
I have been looking at this one lately as well. I like the detail on the fender tip.

I have seen the same thing, and excessive vibration on a bike I followed this summer. Vibration + fiberglass = Cracks
