I got rid of every color I could on my birch white 04 FLHTPI that wasn't chrome or black. The front and rear chrome and rubber bumpers were removed. The fender tip lamps (amber in front, red in rear) were replaced with clear; same for turn signals front and rear; both replaced with clear.
Put 05 softail Deluxe tank badges on the tank and installed the longer fuel tank console ala the FLHX street glide. Received lots of compliments on the tank, and the bike as a whole.
Replaced the black hockey puck bag latches with chrome flush mounts; and lots of other things to clean up the bike.
The bike looks great, I get lots of compliments on it; and periodically I consider painting it to more of a head turner, but I find I'd rather spend the money on Rinehart true duals, tour pack, etc.
