I was in shorts and deck soes going for a putt around the lake in 110 degree heat. At a stop a guy gave me the rd *** because I wasn't wearing aisle 3-7 at the local H-D store. I told him I did think I had to look like him to be a rebel. I am a big boy and will pick my own line. I know it is a lack of judgement but it is a personal choice.
You're absolutely right. I have seen a lot of road rash and hamburger in my day and like the personal protective equipment I wear. My issue was the conformist rebel guy who looked like a stunt man for the Village People. He wasn't bitching about safety. He didn't like that I looked different. I thought it was ironic.
yep, great way to tan...i wear nike's too....AND rarely wear a helmet....yesterday tho in 100 deg Texas heat i had to go pick up my leather jacket at the alteration shop and i wore a helmet/jacket....thought i was gonna fall off the bike from heat...hows that safer...yall dress in full gear, thats fine...personally i think its silly...i usually wont say it tho cause to each his own...lately there have been way too many "gotta suit up/wear your helmet" threads....new riders eh
Bryan, be careful you don't get a pissed-off Buzzard flying up your shorts![sm=happybounce.gif]
No never, I personally would feel like a real winnie doing that. My opinion , most guys over 40 should'nt wear them out in public anyhow. You could turn into a 70 yr old wearing knee length formal shorts, White drees shoes and white socks up to your knees.
