Question to Bagger Pilots with self installed Rider Backrest
If you installed your rider backrest bracket yourself -- -
This is reference bracket installation --, did you remove the stock bolts as directed, and use the replacements, or did you keep the stock bolts and use the stock nuts to tighted it down?
I used the stock and seems to work pretty well, but have not road tested it yet - (I also used the small mounting plate and secured it to the frame in front as directed)
RE: Question to Bagger Pilots with self installed Rider Backrest
I installed one last night and did the exact same way road it for about 10 minutes seemed to work ok. I am going on about a 300 mile ride Saturday so I will post back if i have any troubles.
RE: Question to Bagger Pilots with self installed Rider Backrest
It worked great for me....on all the bikes I've had it on. Sometimes you have to adjust the angle of the support bracket for it to line up just right. The vinyl can make your back sweat......I'll put a small towel over the top of it and tuck the backside into the pocket sometimes.
