Installing rider backrest on RK Classic
the rider backrest and have some questions.
I took the two nuts off the bolts attaching the handrails to the rear fender per
the instructions. But the instructions make me think I need to remove these bolts
also? Can't I just use the stock bolts and use the stock nuts to attach the backrest
bracket?
Also, I'm planning on using the second hole from the back for the position, but when
I try and line it up with the bolt for the bracket support it makes the angle of the
backrest bracket seem to be closer to a 45 than vertical. Does this sound right?
Lastly...when I'm attaching the backrest bracket to the bolts on the fender it seems
like it's going to scratch the hell out of the paint and it will sit on some electrical
wires/connectors. Is there something that avoids this?
Sorry for the painfully long email, but I don't want to screw this up...at least not
too badly.
Thanks!
