33K on my Patriot Edition (Marine Corps of course). Only problem so far was a stripped front shifter. Replaced under warranty. Warranty period is over (don't have the extended), sure hope no major problems arise. I plan to keep this ride until I can no longer ride!
Use HD dyno oil (my wrench swears by it and said the only engine problems he's seen has been with HD synthetic). I change every 3K miles.
Bike does run hot when setting in traffic on a hot day, but I really don't think it's any hotter than my 03 RKC. Maybe I should get an oil cooler though if I'm going to keep it forever?
Has SERT, SE A/C and old SE slipons that I kept from my RK. I'm thinking of doing a 103/SE-255's this winter. Saw some posts here about IDS and SE Compensator... do you recommend I have those added when in for the other work?
Love my Ultra Classic - wife loves it to - does scratch offs and magazines on long trips while listening to great tunes. She found out that she can change the radio channel from the back on our trip to DC (live in MN)... loves that since she loves to have some control :-)
20,000 miles turned today. Brakes, tires and speakers. No heat issues, no whining 5th gear on downshift, no crank problem. Amsoil in all 3 holes, motor gets changed every 2500 or 3000, trans & primary 7500 to 10000. Take care of her, she takes care of you!!
I have an 07 FLHTC. I just turned 57,210. I have had some issues, but overall, the bike is part of the family. My goal is to reach 60K by 10/20/2009. 5 rear tires and two fronts, I am riding it like it has been stolen. I plan to get my money's worth of enjoyment. BTW: The service center at Harley Davidson of Charlotte is first class.
I'm about to turn 32,000. I live in Central Florida. Mine just started acting up. from an idol at a red light -it hesitates when I accelerate. other times it hesitates when I'm in 2nd gear still accelerating. what I'm experiencing seems to be just what has been described as resulting from excessive head. also -there is a bit of a rattle in my Primary. I am concerned either my tensioner is worn down or simply not tensioning... either way -I am getting them all looked at shortly. I need two new tires, too -I am about $100 Chrome Cash short. My Harley Visa has been invaluable!
26,000 miles here and enjoying every minute of it. The only serious problem that I had was a complete new engine and and a new transmission case at 172 miles due to a oil leak problem. My dealer (Lexington, KY) and HD took excellent care of the bike and me, and did all of the right things to do without any problems. The only other thing was the oil pressure LED quit a couple of months ago. I have the extended warranty, but I could purchase the module for less than the $50 service charge. Anyway, I opened up the module and found a little bit of corrosion on the circuit board that had opened up a couple of the through board via's. I fixed that and the LED works again. If anyone has a problem with the LED module on theirs, let me know and maybe I can fix it for you.
Other than all of the chrome goodies and the stereo with XM, it has a Ness Big Sucker, V&H true duals, SE slip-ons (with modified Kerker baffles), SERT and the HD oil cooler. The bike did have a little problem with pinging on hot days riding through the mountains, but has been taken care of after I did the AC, pipes and SERT routine. I am planning on putting in SE 255 cams sometime this winter and remapping. It did have the 5th gear whine, but it wasn't bad and given time and miles, it is barely noticeable now.
I am located in Indiana and have ridden it to Seattle, New Orleans and to mid coastal area of Maine. It has performed flawlessly on all three of the trips. This has been a great bike for trips and I absolutely love the cruise control and the stereo. I probably wouldn't have the Road King if it weren't for an unfortunate and painful encounter with a pickup truck driven by an 18 year old, but I won't give it up now. The previous bike was a '98 Dyna Wide Glide that I purchased new and had done a ton of "personalization" and had ridden it at least 4 times cross country over the 8+ years that I had it. I would still have it now, if it wasn't totaled. When I can scrape up enough spare cash, I plan to get a hold of another low mileage '98 FXDWG and recreate my original bike. Anyway, enough of the old bike, chalk me up as another happy and satisfied '07 owner.
07 Ultra with no complaints.. I addressed all the heat and noise issues before they became a issue. IDS ,PCV,New Pipes and hji flow breather.. gas eco is about 37-40.. planty of punch and I did the seat over but that had nothing to do with anything else. Radio crapped out but that was dealers fault on another wiring job.. and I have seen more rain with this one then any other... could be the Black Pearl paint... looks like a rain cloud.. lol. 13,000 miles of therapy
07 RKC I had a 103 build done on it because
I wanted a 103 for the fun of it I'm getting
around 45 mpg and the only thing that I have
a problem with is the payments I hate having
to pay them
I bought my 07 ultra brand new in Las Vegas.
It has SE slip ons, stage 1 intake with an oil cooler due to the extream hot summers here...
I have put 30,000 miles on it with no problems.
I was eating rear brake pads for a while due to my dirt bike riding style but i have that figured out now... LoL
The primary had a bad gasket, dealer replaced it with warranty.
The quick connect on the tank will every now and then become unseated, easy fix disconnect and reconnect. starts right up...
Lets see in:
07 went to Sturgis
08 went to Canada
