An IDS is an Isolated Drive System or a rubber mounted rear sprocket. It is sold as a retrofit for the '07 models but has come stock with subsequent year models.

Once all the problems were worked out, mine has been a dream...

Now the only problem I have with it is the weather is turning colder....
Can one of you tech guys fix that for me please?

15,000 miles on the RKC. very pleased so far. Both passenger floorboards fell off due to crappy chinese bolts(not at the same time). rear shock leaked and replaced. all the above issues covered under warranty

Mine is doing just fine, IMO there where alot of whiners bought an 07 as there first bike touring bike and where expecting it to be a Goldwing.

Damn Good Bike. Exceeds my expectation in every way. Black Street Glide.

This winter will be adding the 510 Cams and the progressive stab link. But staying with the 96 CI.

I just added the Pirelli Night Dragons so will see how they hold up in the rain.

My 2007 Road King Classic only has 4300 miles on it but I have been very pleased so far. I only wish that I could have afforded an Ultra Classic. The 5th gear noise that I have heard so many complaints about, I can't hear that noise. My RKC has not had a heating problem and I live in some of the hottest and most humid climate in the US. The O.E.M. Dunlop tires with only 4300 miles on them hardly show any wear.
