21,000 on mine. No 5th gear whine, a little wobble on high speed curves (bagger brace may be in my future). It did knock and ping a lot till I put the sert in. Runs nice and smooth now with less heat, it was running way to lean. Amsoil in all 3 holes at every 5k. I thought about the IDS but don't really see any reason for it. Its been a real nice bike and I think I'll keep it for a while.

15000 miles, two warranty items, a saddle bag lock and a loose starter.
I was concerned about heat at first, added the SERT (now it's an upgraded SERT to TTS MasterTune), SE air cleaner and exhaust. I also remove the lowers in the summer. And with the last oil change (yesterday) I added the Jagg 10 row oil cooler, just because I plan on keeping this one and the motor running cooler is just PM.
I really can't complain, these newer bikes just work!

Over 10K on 07 Road King Custom no problems, engine runs hot here in Nevada summer, but most bikes do. Air cleaner and slipons with SERT and a dyno tune are only mods. I get 34 to 40 MPH in city and 40 to 48 MPH highway, solo or two up it depends on how I ride. I like this bike a lot better then my old Lowrider and so dose the wife. I do feel a 103 mod coming my way in the future, looking for more torque.

I have 16,850 miles on my 07 roadking classic. Added rush slip-ons and K&N High flow. Still hate the noise in 5th amplified by the windshield. Only real problem - Just got the bike back from the dealer and they had to replace the ECM. We came back from Sturgis and the bike sat in the garage for a week or so. When I went to start it for a ride I found the rear cylinder wasn't working at all. Pulled the plug and it was clean and dry. Dealer replaced the ECM and it seems to be doing fine. Anyone else see anything like this ??

I just traded in my 07 Ultra (40k mi) on an 09 leftover Classic. I had SE aircleaner, SE mufflers, and PC3. I removed those items and put stock stuff back on before trade. With the quieter pipes, I was reminded how loud the "box of rocks" in the primary can be without IDS. I really liked the color of my 07 (Burgundy & Creame).

However, I am already happier with the 09. The bike is solid. I only have a few hundred miles on it, but the flex is gone in the sweeping turns at speed.

On my daily commute, I cross a diagonal road groove on the highway (where they milled out stripping) that I did not feel at all (I always felt it on the 07 - the wider tire?).

It's kinda what I had hoped the 07 to be.

I have 42000 miles on it now. At 38k the transmission main drive gear bearing went bad. We replaced the IDS bearing and isolators at the same time. Bill was $850.00 of coarse two months after the warranty ran out. Other than this it has been a great bike. I have a Fuelmoto stage 1 and HD oil cooler to keep the heat under control. I get 42-43 mpg.
I run Amsoil in the engine and trans. I change the engine at 4k and the trans and primary at 10k. I just changed the fork oil using the method I found on this site, It took about an hour. I looked at the new ultra limited but with what they will give me on trade I think I am going to try and ride this past 100k instead.

I am at 15,000 miles on my Ultra. No major probs. Two things that were fixed under warranty (leaky front master cylinder and left rear shock leak). I will keep mine its paid for!

I don't have any handling complaints. It has a small amount of 5th gear whine, less now than new.
I don't have any heat complaints. I have the Stage 1 download and Rinehart true duals.
The highest oil temp I have seen was 240 degrees in 6 miles of stop and go traffic with air temps about 95 degrees. Not worried about that. On the highway it averages around 170-180.
Now I have to figure out which one will be the next one to sit beside it in the garage

Cool

52,137 on my 07 ultra, installed rinehart td's, sert, se a/c S&S geardrive, and andrews 26 cam. warrenty work as follows, new radio, new transmission, getting new ecm tomorrow, extended warrenty is paying off for me. Other than those issues the only bad thing is the fuel millage, which sucked before I did anything to it. and still sorta sucks but love the bike, and will not trade it in.

I've had this '07 SG since Nov. '06 and except for LED (high-beam) and mainshaft-bearing failures the bike has been trouble-free. The bearing problem started as a whine at 16k and escalated into a mild growl at 32k, at which time my dealer and HD agreed to dig into it and find the problem--in warranty, I might add, even though it was 10 months expired with no extended warranty. While disassembled all wear parts (clutch disks, primary chain, tensioner, etc.) got a close check and I replaced the stock compensator for the new SE comp, not because the stocker was causing problems but because of positive feedback for the upgrade and the opportunity that was knocking. Since it was/is backordered everywhere and my dealer had one in stock I assumed that providence was calling. How could I refuse?

Two fairing brackets broke in warranty but I fixed them myself, described here.

Other than that I'm very happy after making many mods to get the bike up to my requirements. I do worry about the mainshaft bearing going out again, but the tech said he's seen few fail and mine was in that small percentage. There have been others report this problem here, including one on this thread, but they are in a small minority.

I consider IDS, an oil cooler, a rear stabilizer, and a good Stage 1 upgrade (Fuel Moto Power Package is best, IMO) essentials for this bike. Other worthwhile upgrades have been SE255 cams and cruise control, to name only two of the most notable from among many. At this point I would say the bike is complete for my needs and I plan on keeping it past the 100k mark like I did my last one.

My 07 SG, heat issues still even though I have a power commander and TH and ArlenNess Cleaner, but no big issue to me. Kinda wish I knew how to turn the heater off in summer and turn it on in winter. Im almost at 14,000 and the other issues I hear, kinda loud, wobble, this sucks, that sucks.....I ride it. If something major happens, Ill whine about it....till then Im happy!!!
