I have over 10k miles and I have no complaints. The heat problem can be dealt with various ways – oil cooler, shields, SERT, etc…

The number one complaint I’ve heard is the 5th gear whine. Some installed the IDS to dampen the whine.

Mine was loud when it was new in 5th gear but it did get quieter as the miles racked up. I did not install the IDS and never will.

Again: Zero complaints.

Have a little over 22K on my Ultra. Replaced the bearings on the left side at 18K, just out of warranty. Front brake master cylinder leaked, replaced under warranty. Installed true duels and no more fried thighs for the heat issue, solved problem. Occasional stalling at idle, I think due to fuel, very intermittent . IDS installed and whining at 5th not to bad.
Plan on keeping for a while.

07 Ultra just turned over 51,000 miles. Had the primary chain tensioner replaced under warranty at 33,000 and that was it, until last week.

The lifters were starting to really tap when it got warmed up, past the point of "normal". There was also a growling coming from the primary side.

Took it in under warranty and so far they have replaced the lifters, the mainshaft, along with the mainshaft bearings. The primary tensioner is excessively worn again after only 18,000 miles. Still waiting on the final word to see what all has actually been done as the service manager didn't go into great detail over the phone.

$1150.00 for the three year extended service plan is looking pretty good right now, as I love this bike and plan on keeping it that long. At my present rate, I would have 170,000 on it at the end of the five years. Time for a new one then I would guess.

Called yesterday and they were still waiting on parts, so we will see.

I bought 07 street bob new, 12,500 last time I looked. I have not had any problems at all. I added Samson BG3, speeds high flow ac, PC III, Andrews 30 tooth pull gear. Samson's fell apart after 14 months. Got new Cobra dragsters, all is well in Michigan.

07 Electraglide classic 15,000 miles and not a single problem, TV2 and Fullsac true duals cured the heat issue which was the only complaint I had.

The next morning with the bike cold it would not make any noise, but after a short warm up ride the noise was back, so I loaded it on the trailer and brought it to the dealer.
Mine was the mainshaft bearing on the primary side, and there seem to be several reporting this or similar drivetrain-bearing issues on this thread. I wonder if it will be a periodic ritual replacing this bearing.

24,600 miles on my 2007 FLHX. I had the 103 Stage II and headwork done at zero miles. Summer 2008 I changed the exhaust, cams (from 255's to Andrews 31's), fuel management (bye bye PC III, hello SEST), and got a great dynotune by Minnesota's best tuner. I love my bike; it runs super....smooth, linear power...it just builds and builds...For me, the 31's were a home run.
I never rode the bike as a stocker, and when I took delivery of it it had the Stage II reflash in the ECM. I also never rode it without the Premium oil cooler. Those things having been said, I have never had an issue with excessive heat. My oil usually runs around 200 degrees and I have never seen over 230, but I don't sit in traffic much, either. Never any goofy noises from the primary. Bike would ping on a hot day with the 255's, but it's gone with the 31's and the tune...5th gear whine can be heard if you turn your head just right and hold your breath MAYBE...
BelRay Hypoid 85-140 in the trans from new. Royal Purple in the motor, Formula+ in the primary. E3 160/80-16 on the rear after many 402's (7500 miles on each 402). If I drive nice (60 in 5th) 49 mpg; everyday usual mpg is about 35.
One saddlebag latch spring, one front master cylinder cover gasket, one LED for the neutral light, one front motor mount, two small fairing brackets, and one RH turn signal switch. (Warranty items)
With your chrome heart shining...in the sun...long may you run...
