07 Streetglide, 30k miles. All the fairing brackets have been replaced. Twice. Fuse was blowing, turned out vibration from broken fairing brackets caused front turn signal wire to rub through insulation.
Came out after a concert, bike wouldn't start. Could smell fuel, bike turning over fine, no fire. Tow to dealer, they have it 8 days and say they think it may have been dirt in the fuel line even though it pressure tested ok.
Fuel mileage is 38 to 40 no matter what grade goes in. Frame feels like it has a hinge in the middle in fast sweepers.
Still have enjoyed the HELL out of the bike, the no start thing made me mad at it though and my Ultra Limited (blue over black) should be here October 5th.
At 38k the transmission main drive gear bearing went bad.
Was yours the bearing at the front sprocket on the primary side? When did you notice it and what were the symptoms? Mine started as a whine at 16k and after the dealer recommended no action it became louder and more like a constant, speed-related groan. It was finally fixed at 32k, so it obviously wasn't a catastrophic failure. Gear selection, clutch, and RPM's were irrelevant to the noise. My dealer and HD fixed mine in warranty even though my factory warranty was expired by 10 months. I wish yours had been that thoughtful and tried, as it would've been possible for you, I'm sure. The fact that I reported it before the warranty expired and they elected not to investigate, which I still think was the right call at the time, might've helped. You might call HD and attempt to get a refund, as it couldn't hurt.
BTW, what oil were you using in the primary? I have been using Castrol GTX 20w50 and I'm 100% certain that wasn't the cause for the bearing failure, especially since everything else is wearing very well in the primary.
Mine was on the primary side but not the bearing in the inner primary, it was the main drive gear bearing inside the transmission. The first sign of trouble was when I pushed the bike back out of a parking space with the bike not running I got a clunking noise I then pushed it forward and it also had the noise. The next morning with the bike cold it would not make any noise, but after a short warm up ride the noise was back, so I loaded it on the trailer and brought it to the dealer. Back when I first got the bike it clattered very loud in 5th and 6th gear but the IDS stopped the clatter. I still wonder if that original clatter and the early bearing failure were related. I guess no way to ever know. I used Spectro 75/140 then changed to Amsoil 75/90 only because the Amsoil is easier to get here, however I don't think the problem was lubrication related.
07 SG, 8K on it... stage 1 air kit, Rineharts true duals, downloead. All kinds of show mods! Love it love it love it!!!! Plenty of power, handles great, rides great, looks great! Only thing I would recommend for sure would be a stereo upgrade... not loud enough and the quality of the speakers really isnt there for $21K... JMHO! I give it a 9.5 outta 10 anyway!!
The only problem I've had so far was the rear belt pulley bolts backed out and chewed up the rear wheel and pulley. Other than that, this bike has been a joy. Just installed new brake pads all around and had my mechanic buddy do a complete check-up in preparation for our trip to the BRP this weekend. She's solid and ready to ride.
23k on the StreetGlide. I got it in July '06- one of the first ones. The only thing that has broken are the fairing brackets. It is a great bike. Reading the forum always makes me worry about this and that going wrong, but I suppose mostly the problems get posted and that there are many, many more owners with no problems.
Just went over 23K on my 07 RG. Frickin' toe shifter strips on a regular basis, had to have a couple of dash lamps replaced and I'm waiting on a new radio cause the backlight went out. The warranty was up in August but my partner is gonna warranty the radio. Runnin' Metzlers, Andrews 37H cams and a thundermax. No problems at all. Haven't heard that 5th gear noise for years now. Still gets shitty mileage 28-34. But I ride all my bikes like I stole em! Crashed this one in June and was down 6 weeks or I'd have alot more miles on her!

40,000km (25k miles) on my 07 Electra glide Classic. Last year the fairing brackets broke, I repaired & reinforced them and they are still fine. This year the tranny started growling in all gears. Its at the dealers now they say it has a bad bearing race. We'll see if the Ext Serv Plan pays or if that was a waste of money. The engine has had the clatter going on at 2100rpm since new (sounds like loose lifters in an old chevy 6 cyl). I just changed to Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 (been running Amsoil since new) and it has quieted it down quite a bit. Wish I had run this oil since new. Minor probs but I love riding this bike.
