I am looking for a upgrade to my stock seat, its just no confortable on long rides i have been looking at the harley hammock but its over $500. does anyone have any ideas or reviews on the mustang or sundowner? all opinions would be appreciated.
I have a Diamond seat on my 09 UC,I paid around 650.00 for it which I know is alot of money but I don't even think about the seat now even after 10 hours in the seat.
I gave up trying to go cheaper because it never seems to work out,if you plan to ride the bike for awhile a better seat is worth the extra money plus you can always sell it when you change rides.

A lot will depend on your size and riding preferences. I have several seats that I interchange depending on where I'm going or doing. I also have a fairly new Mustang Solo w Backrest and Pillion in the classifieds ifn you're interested
I will check them out but after some thinking i am probally going to go with the new Hammock that HD just came out with i sat on it today and its very nice at a $500 price tag i guess you cant skimp on a happy butt
I have tried several seats and talked to a lot of people. I have also ridden a lot of miles. My wife has also helped forming this opinion - there is only 1 answer to your question -
MUSTANG REGAL TOURING SEAT
My wife and I call it the "happy butt seat". We can ride forever- no pain or stiffness. Other seats were not like this - including MCC modified seats (although great compared to stock).
You can get them for about 375 from vendors on Ebay. We have the pillow top - but the smooth would work also.
YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!

This is an excellent set up. Can't go wrong with a Mustang seat. I have three of them. Two for my Night Train (day and touring) and one like the one mentioned above for my FLHT. The back rest makes a big difference IMHO.

I have the same Mustang seat (MUSTANG REGAL TOURING SEAT) it is just a little better than stock, tried sundowner it is better than stock but still only good for about hour and a half. I have 08 which uses the same seat as you, some of these people have earlier bikes which the seat is totally different, so make sure you go by someone's judgment that has either 08,09 or 10. I have 15,000 miles on it now and I still hate it, plus you even sit higher than stock and forward more. Wife has no complaints about either seat. 08 FLHTC
