I have a 2009 RKC and the air cleaner rubs against my leg when riding. It's not so bad on short trips, but on long ones where I need to stretch out to the highway pegs to very my position, it gets really irritating. Any suggestions on the best replacement air cleaner? I don't really want to go with the "heavey breather" or that type, but it needs to be more forward or not as deep.

smooth air cleaner cover
HD part # 29153-07
did the trick for me.
I Had the same problem.
Looking at it, it looks like I would need to change to the SE Stage 1 air cleaner right? Mine is stock right now and kind of oval shaped. That is the problem, the back end of the oval gets in the way. A round one would work I think.
It's not so much of a problem with my feet on the boards, it's when I put them on the highway pegs that it gets irritating.
Move the position of your highway pegs maybe. Be alot cheaper than a new a/c. And if the stock a/c is hitting your leg there isn't much out there that is gonna be more narrow. You are always gonna have a back plate, filter and cover.
