Hi Guys,
I have an 08 street glide and am putting a Jagg 10 row oil cooler on it. I'd like to also replace the air temp gauge with the harley oil temp gauge. Is there anything different that i'll have to do in addition to the normal directions that come with it. From what everyone is saying the install isn't bad on the newer bikes. I just want to make sure that doesn't change having a cooler on it. thanks

Most, myself included, install the oil temp sending unit in the oil pan (and HD's newer oil temp kits provide for this also). Consider moving the volt meter to the vacated air temp slot and install the oil temp gauge in the old volt meter spot--makes it easier to check pressure and temp.
These guys have an oil temp. Did not install one yet but this one looks pretty close to the Harley original gauges. They even posted instructions. Another winter project in progress.
I put the Harley oil cooler and oil temperature gauge on my '09 Ultra. If your bike is similar to mine, the oil cooler and gauge are separate so that one does not interfere with the other.
The only difficult part was putting all the wires on the back of the gauge. It would have been nice if the gauge had a single plug instead of a bunch of little eyelets to put on the studs on the back of the gauge with nuts to old them on.

I would recommend you install the oil temp sensor first so you can see what the bike runs at before you install the cooler.
This is a pretty good idea. I did it on mine using the Harley oil cooler, & the temp dropped between 25 & 35 degrees with the sender mounted in the oil pan.
