Here is the lift I have. I have had it for about 4 or 5 years with zero issues. I also use it year round. I use it for sleds, atv's, mowers, bikes. It gets used almost every day. Complete with extensions, rear tire drop out, wheel vice, and jack it is less that the Handy table is all by it self. It is also longer to accomodate chopper length bikes.
I have a Western MGF lift which is 30" wide. I can ride my bike up on it and keep my feet on the lift. I had to turn the lift side ways in the garage because the wife's car gets one side and our two bikes get the front half of the other side. The lift is between the bikes and the work bench and it works great for me.
I bought a lift from my local MAC Tool guy....bought the side extensions as well....I believe its about 4 ft wide...plenty of room...easy on...easy off. And this lift is made by Handy Industries.
The pitbull lift is great. The first thing that I did after I put it together is climb on the bike at full height, it was rock solid. It's easy to lift and lower the bike by yourself, it picks it up from and drops it back to the kickstand.
Our J&S Lift is awesome, takes up little room, easily maneuvered around your bike...no brain-er when it comes to lifting and very easily stowed away if you do not have a lot of room all the time in your garage....we love ours! Customer service really good too....seems well made, no straps and it works just like the video on their web page!
