Hi, I am not selling this bike on this or any other site. I am curious though as to what people of knowledge would think it is worth so that I maybe competitive in my local community. I have a Rk, 07 FLHR with 5,300 miles. Without getting into all the specifics, lets say it has $4,000 in extras including a 103" eng and cams and dyno tuned @ 93hp-104 tQ.
I will understand if this post is canceled because of its content. Please do not try to contact me. It is not for sale.
Thanks for yur help, John
Look at book value and it'll give u an idea. The "xtras" won't add a whole lot of value. The 103 upgrade to a point depending on what exactly the upgrade work was. Typically you'll get pennies on the dollar for upgrades and ur better off pulling them and selling them separately.
It's worth what someone is willing to pay you for it when you offer it for sale.
Exactly! A seller can ask a price all he/she wants but unless there's a buyer willing to pay the asking price it won't sell. Not that it isn't possibly worth every penny, it just won't sell. Asking what a bike is worth is kinda like asking what pipes sound better. What one buyer thinks is a fair price another won't touch. It all depends on who has the coin and who is willing to part with it.
Thanks guys. You kind of backed up my thoughts on the extras being worth more to me than to a buyer or the dealer on a trade in. I might just hold onto it until the spring when the economy is better and there is more of a market. I appreciate all the advice.
