I put a Mustang model 75464 two-up touring seat on my 06 SG. It's much more comfortable than the stocker, but sits me up about an inch higher. Not really a problem, just had to get used to the position. The pillion is MUCH better for my wife. SHe says it's like night and day against the stock passenger seat. This seat does work with the HD adjustable rider backrest also.

I have the stock seat on my SG. I took a 1700 mile trip in 3 days. My back hurt like HE77.... I bought the backrest. It has helped a bunch. I took another trip this past weekend. My rear end is still soar. I think I will try the sundowner out. Besides It will match my back rest too.

The abiguity ofa SEAT thread is that when someone praises a seat they don't say hot tall they are...a Sundowner /Corbin may be the ticket for someone who is 5'10 but really sucks for someone who is 6'3"

I have an '07 Street Glide. Here's what worked for me: I sent my seat out to Alan at Mean City Cycles and had him do his memory foam mod to my stock SG seat. I also had him lower me 2 inches and move me forward an inch. (I'm 5'7" with a 28" inseam.) Cost me less than $180 including shipping. I just got back from a week in the Smoky Mountains riding most of the great roads down there. The seat was great -- I experienced no sore butt problems at all. The seat modoption is a low cost approach that might be worth trying for you.

As forback comfort, I'm thinking a rider backrest might be in my future. First, though, I need to move the handlebars back, as I find myself leaning forward a little bit. I've just gone through some lower back issues, and I've been riding with a "Back-Aline" back support belt, which has helped me considerably.
