My idles are set correctly: cold by using a voltmeter ( .62 to .64) and hot idle at 1050 rpm and 121 centigrade celsius.
The bike runs fine BUT some times when driving of at a cold start ( despite the normal idling - IAC adjusts the RPM's ) the bike idles down and dies.
Once restarted, it stays fine BUT ( again yes) at HIGH temp ( 100 to 120 ), the engine idles low and dies again. This happens at at typical idle stops like traffic lights etc. The bike can be started immediatly but idels dead again at the next stop ( idling at hot temp ).
Some say that i should replace the engine temp sensor or the Throtle Position Sensor.
Notice: i have a PC III installed as well.
Thanks for helping me out. All advive is higly appreciated.
I am having the same problem with my 02 Ultra Classic. Seems when the bike warms up and I pull in the clutch or place the bike in neutral the engine dies. It starts right back up and runs fine to the next light or so but the same thing happens. I have tried cleaning the IAC valve at the top of the throttle body with Throttle Body Cleaner as recommended on another forum and it seemed to help for about 2 weeks and now problem is back. Cleaning IAC valve again does not help. I have also changed out the speedo sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
