Dealer put a set on my ultra classic at no charge, had mixed feelings about them at first and you do see a bit more of your hand than with the stock but I look at that as a reminder to turn my head and look before changing lanes. I wouldn't go back to stock.

I didn't like mine after I changes my bars and I could only see out of about 1/2 of them.

That's my current problem. With the stock bars I liked the fairing mirrors better because they actually are a bit further apart than the standard mirrors. A lot also depends on how your bars are positioned. I put Kromeworks Sweepers on my Police bike during a few changes being made and I'll need to go back and tweak my bar position to get max comfort, function and sight.

One thing not touched on yet is the blurred vision I get with them now. All was good at first. We put the chrome mirror covers on my girls SG and we noticed the mirrors blur more now than they did before. I first thought it was perhaps the mechanic not tightening them correctly. But since I put them on my bike and I have a similar problem, I'm thinking the added weight of the mirror covers (they chromed metal, not plastic) are amplifying the vibrations.

Has anybody else put the mirror covers on their Street Glide and noticed increased blurriness? Max torque on the mirror nuts is 30 inch lbs., has there been an update calling for a slightly higher torque to have them more securely fastened to the inner fairing? Dawg?

Put them on my 08 Ultra, love them, glad I got rid of the handle bar mounted mirrors. Just one caution, read the instruction more than once and take your time. Don't drill at the dots on the template, go to the end of the arrow. Also tape it down. Kinda of hard to find that large of drill bit, found a wood bit a Lowe's. Worked great. Drill the small pilot hole on the inside, then the larger hole drill from the outside, so as not to mess up the fairing.
Once the mirrors are adjusted correctly, in my opinion they are better.

I do a lot of lane splitting in So Cal rush hour traffic. Got tired of clicking mirrors with pick up trucks. Stock mirrors just the right height. I'm runnin' HD fairing mirros in the chrome cup. True, the stock mirrors do give a little better vision to the rear, but they just sit to high. Tried a pair of PM fairing mirrors and with the flat glass, they were absolutely worthless. Runnin' the same set up on both my 01 EGC and my 09 Ultra. They work fine for me. Can't see tailgaters but don't have much problem with anything waitin on me. Good veiw of whats next to me or a little behind and to the side. Normally going to fast to worry bout whats directly behind. Has any one tried those Kuryakyn windsheild mount mirrors?? They mount above fairing on the end of windsheild trim.

No issues with placement, but it does take a little time to get them adjusted. Have them on my 08 and replaced them months ago with Wicked Image fairing mirrors with blind sports. One of the best $$ spent - a quality product. Bolts right up to existing mount holes. Blind spots are a big help.

Its a personal thing with the fairing mounts over handle bar. For me I have no issues with visibility and love the clean look.

Ride safe

I have them on my 07 EGC with stock bars and i am 6'1" running a Mustang seat. I like them and looks a lot better. Plus i have a J&M handlebar mounted CB it took the mirrors out of the way.

I was never crazy about the veiw with the fairing mirrors. When I put the sweeper bars on they were really useless. I can see much better with the bar mounts.

when my 09 sg was on order i was going to buy some extra mirrors but decided to hold off until i actually got the sg....glad i did...the stock mirrors work great for me.

i have recently added the chrome covers too...and have not noticed no extra vibrations/bluriness...they look real good
