Depends on how wide your shoulders are. I am broad shouldered so they were terrible for me. I put the 13" apes on and had to go with handlebar mirrors anyway.

You really need to ride one to find out how they will work for you.

I have 'em (Fairing mount mirrors) on my Ultra and love the clean looks. Not one problem with mine.

I'm in the same dilemma as you, Bagger on those windshield mounted mirrors from Kuryakyn. Never seen one on any of the touring bikes at Bike Weeks or Poker Runs.

I have had mine on for about 6 months. The templates for locating them is not for tall riders. If mine were located better I would like them better. They look better and also in cold weather the old mirrors seem to put wind on your hands. JMHO

Drill the small pilot hole on the inside, then the larger hole drill from the outside, so as not to mess up the fairing.
Once the mirrors are adjusted correctly, in my opinion they are better.

Mac
Mac did you move 1/4 from the template?

I'm a very wide shouldered guy. I have a big problem with the OEM mirrors on my Ultra. I can't see past elbows without tucking them in when I need to. I was hoping the fairing mounted ones would eliminate that problem. They appear to be a little farther out than the handlebar mounts.
Any thoughts from any other lard butts out there?
