What colour is your bike? I've got a denim black 2010 FLHX and in Canada we still have the large brake light. I would be interested in trading set-ups for the fender without the brake light.
I would imagine the Canadian model has a tailight to comply with Canadian regulations. Can't see the MoCo having two different set-ups on the same model if that weren't the case.

To the OP.
There you go.................see if you can find a dealer to get you a Canadian model.

Well the tail light is leaving either way, I like the look of the US clean fender. If the OP is interested in a trade might work out for everyone.
I have the '10 SG and I added the tri bar brake light. I was kinda pissed HD didn't do that out of the factory but for safety I got over it. If I compare my brake light to my friends '08 stock SG light mine is brighter. Both during the day and after dark. If you want even more light get the air wing luggage rack and add the LED to that. Now you have more than enough light without having to drill/cut the fender.
I installed the Custom Dynamics LED kit for the 2010 SG. Looks great with the smoked front and rear. Much smoother. Nice and bright. I must admit the stock reflectors in there were pretty impressive. I also ordered the "plasma rods" as pictured on the above link. I havn't decided if I will install the 8" rods or not. The LED's are quite bright

I got an '10 SG last Sept. and have the same concerns. I added the Tri-bar brake light conversion to the bike to help being seen (HD should have made this std). I also added a "Safe Ride light". This a license plate bracket with a LED strobes. It is connected directly to the battery and is activated by G force sensor. As you decelerate (let off the throttle or downshift) the strobes start to flash several times. It will come on before your brake lights to alert drivers you are slowing down or beginning to brake.
I rode behind a new Ultra and he had this as well as all the other lights they come with. This light came on first and really got my attention more than the other lights. Several guys I ride with were real impressed with the light as it let them know I was decelerating or downshifting. It will also let everyone behind you now if you are a real jerky rider.
Look for it at powersportinnovations.com. I think I will also add those plasma 8" filler lights. Can't have too many lights. Thanks for the other tips.
