A simple solution might be a 6 in led light bar under the license plate. I removed the red reflector and installed the light in its place. Purchased from Custom Dynamics for about $40. Clean install, no mods needed, lots of light.
to dirt racing 23, where did you get the lights, i want to find some that will fit in the gromets hole on the fillers, thank you
My painter ordered them. He is filling in the holes where the grommet on one side and and antenna on the other go. He is not actually using those holes for the led lights in the fillers but frenching the lights in below those holes.
Here's a link to some lighting. Don't know if any af these will work for your app or not.
I have the '10 SG and I added the tri bar brake light. I was kinda pissed HD didn't do that out of the factory but for safety I got over it. If I compare my brake light to my friends '08 stock SG light mine is brighter. Both during the day and after dark. If you want even more light get the air wing luggage rack and add the LED to that. Now you have more than enough light without having to drill/cut the fender.
I didn't know the 10 SG's were offered without the tri bar? Mine had it, was that a dealer installed option?

like bfrank says, the stock piece from the factory is just a running light, the link he supplied is to the p&a catalog for the brake/run adapter. bought from zanotti's it's $102 and some change. i know, i just ordered one......

Just to clarify that link is to a complete light replacement. The install is pretty easy would have been easier with a lift but I did it ok on the jiffy stand in my garage.
I had a bright *** light on my RG but my 2010 Street Glide does not give me that option. Plasma lights look good. The harley "upgrade" is OK but I am so pissed they did not include it for safety on a $20K bike i want to find another option. Preferably something as bright as bright *** and pulsating. Anyone come up with other brake lighting upgrades for the 2010 FLHX or FLTRX?
Haven't seen it in person yet, but I am glad it is bright - it'd have to be!!
They (oem bulbs) really are super bright...I was concerned at first myself but once I saw them in action I was put at ease...J&P cycles has the cluster LED replacement bulbs for these that are about 7-8 bucks a pc...Those should be even brighter.
the lights on the fender extension and the 2 bulbs up top... it looks like a smiley face going down the road at night if your following me.
LMAO! That's exactly what I was thinking. Once you get the image in your hear there's nothing you can do to get rid of it. Guess it's better than a sad face...
i was told if u dont own a new cvo u cant buy the screamin eagle lites off the 2010. cuz i wanted to buy that same setup they said no cuz i didnt have a cvo. they will ask for your vin number and that will tell them anything about your bike.
