Did that come with the optional shoe horn so he can get your butt cheeks spread wide enough.
Yes he is overcharging for that service!!
I paid $1800 the first time for a set of Rinehart TD's, SE air cleaner, SERT and a full dyno tune.
But what you are forgetting is that while lots of folks run and like FM, and I have no issues with them either, all it does is "trick" the O2 sensors. The HD-SERT actually controls them. BIG difference, and why a big difference in price and setup. You are really comparing Apples to Oranges in the end.
Do I really give a crap if it tricks whatever.. NO. All I know is Jamie has done all the work and got 14 hp and 14 Trq and that is what I want for my money. I ain't cheap but I knows a bargain.
I ran The SERT on my 07 and like somone posted dealers run the bike as close to legal as they can most dealers just upload the canned map that comes with the SERT my bike ran like crap heat issues and always popping and back firing and every time I brought it back it came out the same way.On my 09 did the fuel moto setup and the bike runs great all my buddies run it too and they all cant believe the difference. Just because HD makes doesnt make it better...and as far is warranty its plug and play can be disconnected in 5 mins.

tricks the O2 sensors? any links to how the PC really tunes the bike. i had a SERT on my 02 SERK and it ran perfect so i know they work.

The SERT is a great tuning product and I have hundreds and hundreds of hours of experience tuning with it but the info posted above on its strategy in incorrect. The SERT in no way controls the O2 sensors which are narrowband switching devices and can only switch near a lamda value of 1.0 which for gasoline equates to 14.7:1 AFR. The SERT allows you to use O2 sensor feedback when in closed loop which in most calibrations is idle to as much as 60% throttle however when you use this feedback you can only target an AFR 14.6:1, to help richen (or lean) the mixture you can also change the O2 bias voltage to affect the mixture by about .5 AFR. Simply put, any time you demand an AFR richer than 14.6:1 the ECM ignores the O2 sensors so when you are above 40-60% throttle, any time you are accellerating, WOT, or simply anytime the ECM determines it requires an AFR richer than 14.6:1 you will not use the O2 sensors. 14.6:1 is too lean in most applications and is there due to EPA mandation and under most cases you would not tune a bike this lean. The PC-V does not trick the O2 sensors, it bypasses them and does not use their feedback just as one would do with the SERT software wherever there is a value richer than 14.6:1 in the AFR table. The PC-V has injector drivers which allow up to +250%/-100% adjustment of the injectors and for igntion timing you have adjustment of +/- 15 degrees. The Power Commander has a resolution of 480 tuning points on a cylinder advanced map and you also have the option of configuring the maps by gear which would give you 2880 tuning points not considering the other available inputs. Also with the PC-V is the Auto Tune with dual wideband sensors, which unlike a stock narrowband sensor allows you to target 11:1-16:1 AFR and real time tuning over the entire range. Regardless of your choice there are a lot of options and I recommend using the product you and your tuner feel most comforable using or have a willingness to learn.
A complete dyno tune will take every bit of 4 to 6 hours to do. As Mr. Jamie said earlier, the SERT is a good tool. But most of us aren't going to do much more than pipes, AC and maybe cams. I went with the SERT, 08 UC, if I was doing it over again, I would call Fuel Moto!
