thanks for the response folks. So far most people has not had any problems except "Chris", who's tech guy mentioned frequent problems.

This morning when I got off work, my bike was covered in frost. No problems. Day before we got somewhere around 4 inches of rain. No problems.

Back in May I rode in pouring down rain for three hours on a return trip home. After a half hour of riding my cruise control went out but the radio was fine. The cruise control came back 45 min after the rain stopped.

Lots of rain and lots of washings. The HD stereo has never missed a beat. It definitely always sounded like crap until I upgraded the speakers, but always worked fine in the rain.
