Was just going to say...you most def can find an 09 in the price range you are looking...plenty of bikes out there. I paid $16,500 for mine off the dealer floor right out of the crate (Road King) plus tax only. Yeah, we can't help but add $$ in misc "stuff"...but they are great rides as-is. Your rental sounds fine as long as it was broken-in right and not thrashed by renters before 500-1000 miles.

The 07 without a doubt, but in this market, if you take your time, you can find an 08 or maybe even an 09 for the same money and less miles. Take ur time. Trust me there out there.

Brought the 09 classic home on Tuesday. It is really nice. I'm not sure about how it would compare ride wise to the 06 or 07 I was looking at, but this bike really cruises. My son's friend was at the store when I took delivery and said he'd have bought it if I hadn't. I love the blue color, and when the lower leg fairings get installed, I'll be ready to ride unti the snow flies... which by the way is predicted for tomorrow in Ohio. Crap!!

Thanks again to everyone for the help. What a great site this is

Congrats on the '09 Classic. It's nothing compared to those 2 you mentioned previously. They can be great bikes, but the newer one is sure to give you even more pleasure out of it.

Enjoy,

Thorey

Congrats on the 09. I'm in the minority here, I would have leaned away from the 07 because of the lowered suspension and the engine work
