Default clutch cable repacement

Replacing the stock cables on my 09 RK with braided and looking to avoid the $60 shop manual. Does anyone have the procedure for removing/replacing the cable and adjusting the clutch?

My advice, along with probably most others on this forum, would be to invest in the shop manual. You bought a bike close to $20K, I don't think it wise to NOT invest $60.00 in a shop manual. If you are anything like the rest of us, you probably will not stop at just the braided cables, you'll be wanting to do much more to your bike yourself. The shop manual will be your best resource.

I'm with Tencorce, you really do need the Service Manual. And while you're at it spend another $40 bucks and the Parts Manual for your bike. I find myself using Parts Manuals more than service manuals.

If your cheap enough to want to do it yourself ( and you should be ) That $60 manual will save you more money than you can imagine. Best money you can spend.

Like everybody else said, spend the money on the manual. You can sometimes find it cheaper online. Plus, you'll find that with the manual, you will end up doing more stuff yourself, and save much more than the $60 or whatever the manual will cost you. I know I've saved at least $500 from buying my manual and doing things myself.

Have you bought the manual yet? What are you waiting for?

Clutch cable replacement is an easy job as long as you have the right cable, and cable adjustment is even easier. But, get the manual -- best $60 you'll spend on the bike.

First disconnect the battery, then loosen the cable then go buy a manual. then follow the other instructions.
