I just bought the magnetic chrome covers and I was skeptical about how they would look. But I really like them and so does everyone else that has seen them.
I'm not sure you can do something like this but on older style I just got a little longer bolt for the front position since that is the only one that keeps everthing aligned and then sloted the ends so I just back the front one out, take the other two out and slip it on and off.
