Everything else works. I plugged in the old switch housing to rule out the new one being bad and still nothing.

EG's require clutch if in gear, not sure about the Street. Not saying it's your problem but could be related.

You must have the run switch shorted to ground... If you flip the switch and don't here the pump initialize that's the problem...

Old switch doesn't work either. Wouldn't a short cause a fuse to blow?

From 04 they don't have circuit breakers ,it has a maxi fuse.

I had a similar problem with an 02 Heritage, it developed but obviously it didn't have cruise.
Start at the basics

When you turn on the ignition do the lights come on ?
If so and the motor doesn't turn over , remove the small wire going to the solenoid on the starter motor. I think it's a green wire.
Get a test light and with the + side to the wire on the starter and the other to ground press the starter button the test light should light up.
If it doesn't, run a wire from the + side of the battery to that terminal on the starter solenoid MAKE SURE THE BIKE IS IN NEUTRAL. The motor should turn as the wire touches. For the engine to start the TSSM has to earth ( ground ) the starter relay, that was the problem the Heritage had. You can just earth ( ground ) the right terminal of the starter relay, if that is the problem.

I'd check the connections at the plug in the fairing. The kill switch powers the starter switch and the fuel pump. I had the same condition on my bike but it was caused by a broken throttle cable wire grounding the kill switch power and blowing the fuse. Exact same symptoms as yours. If neither switch will work you probably have a bad connection in the connector off the main harness. Look for a terminal that's not seated correctly. If you have the shop manual you should be able to check for power on the correct terminals using the appendix wiring diagrams. If you don't have the manual PM me your # and I'll call you about 6pm pacific time and give you color codes for the wires to check when I get home from work.

Check you battery - cable where it is attached too one of the mounting bolts of the starter. If the bolt is loose, you won't get the starter or the fuel pump.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I replaced all of the fuses and viola! It's fixed. After closer inspection, I found that the ignition fuse was blown. You really have to look at it because it blew VERY close to one side and was very hard to see.
Thanks again!!
