One of the ball joint rod ends separated on me on my shift linkage (stock). Where is a good place to buy replacement ends...Stealer wants to sell me the whole shabang...of course....
I don't care if they are chrome or the "gold" zinc or whatever coating...
While you're replacing the ends, take a short piece of 5/16" threaded rod, cut it to proper size and put a second set of ends on that for a spare, toss it in a saddlebag, just in case, you never know when you or someone else may need it. Your total investment, about $5.00 and the time to screw the 2 ends on. They do break, and usually at the worst possible times.

I carry mine in my tour pak for someone I may meet on the road that needs one. I use heim joints. If you want just the ball joint, you can get them HERE for about $3
