09 FLHTCU let me down yesterday
Codes are P 1511 "EFI power management mode" (recurring after clearing) and 1 time only 2103 "EFI motor circuit high".
Removed seat and checked/wiggled all connections, pulled left fuse cover and did the wiggle wiggle-- no help. Called dealer SM who said can't fix it on the side-- issue is with the FBW system in the handlebar throttle assy.
Called "Harley Assist" to come and get her...so if it happens to you make sure the truck driver has plenty of padding and supervise the loading to make sure none of the straps abrade anything on the bike.
Been riding and doing my own work/maintenance on EVO's for nearly a decade and never been let down on the side of the road for something that I couldn't fix or adjust.
"electronic malfunction".....not a whole lot one can do.
Ah well, guess I should be happy I've never been stuck on the side before.
Just waiting for the call to let me know when to pick it up.
That is about as far as I go....maybe I would un-hook the battery and rehook.
Other than that......wiggle-wiggle.
(Tie a bandana on left handle bar.....put helmet on the ground....curse as other bikes fly by).
Update as you find out what the matter is.

docsking, well there is no use getting too upset over things like this, especially when only 30 minutes from home.
Wife came to pick me up and showed up just after the tow truck left, which only took about 35 minutes to arrive.
We all went to dinner out so all were happy campers.
Now if I was crossing the Nullabor Plain 1000 miles or more from the nearest dealer I would probably be a little bit miffed.....
I don't travel anywhere long distance in Aussie without a very comprehensive tool kit (not that's it worth a pinch on the leckytronic stuff), an emergency belt, mushroom plug tire repair kit, a gutted air compressor, water, snacks, trusty cell phone, portable UHF radio to get onto the truckers band, leather riggers gloves to handle hot stuff, welding machine, etc. (naw--just joking about the welder)
Eric the first thing I checked was the ECM connection which seemed OK-- however I have read on this site and others about bad ECM connections and this complaint suffered by others.
Sigh, I wish I had throttle cables.... Anyway I reckon the FBW throttle is too sensitive to bumps compared to the throttle cables which had the return spring holding a bit of tension.
I often goose the throttle just a teensy bit on bad bumps which I know wouldn't happen with cables... guess I'll get used to it.
I'll provide info about the incident when known.

Problem turned out to be a "fly by wire" throttle control wire which was routed incorrectly and contacted one of the heads which burned/rubbed through the wire strand creating a short which threw codes and put the system into limp home mode.
I will check it out in more detail Thursday when I pick up the bike. At the moment it is undetermined whether this was an assembly error or not, so maybe you 09 Ultra owners should pull your filter covers have a look at wire routing on your rides.
I should have taken an extra step while on the side of the road to remove the air filter housing.. I would have (more than likely) seen the problem, taped it up and kept going....
I'm just not used to thinking about troubleshooting the newer models. Also first new bike so am a bit squinchy about rooting around on the bike with a 2 year warranty in place.
Sigh--I sure love my Evo's carb and throttle wires...
