Reason: added
The power connector is under the seat. If you want to get at the switch itself you can take off the ignition and pull the fairing cap and it's right there.
The Acc switch has a connector under the seat. If your looking to splice into the wire then you need to remove the switch panel. You can get to the harness from inside the faring where the connector is but you'll need to know which wire is the correct one. Taking the panel off is not difficult once you do it the first time.
Remove the ignition switch
remove the nut and spacers
Pop off the plastic panel under the switch ****.
Remove screws on side (1 each side)
Take off panel.
I'm sure you will get this response quite often so I'll give it also. Get yourself a service manual. It will make life much much easier.

I tapped into the wire coming from the switch inside the fairing... I just split back the insulation and soldered on for a power supply for my GPS. I don't remember the color, but you can see the bottom of the switch, and locate the wires up near the radio to have easy access. ( or radio area if you don't have the radio). Been working for a couple years now.
gmc1999 said he ordered his manual today. Taking the ignition switch out is the hardest part of getting to the acc. switch. Might be a good idea to wait for your service manual.
