go to bikers-net.com and read the thread on True-Track and the effect on motormounts and swingarm bushings. There is torsional twist going on in the suspension on curves. It gets really bad if the front mount has gone out. Also explains what to look for concerning a bad mount.
Is there a TSB for the 06 mounts ? If so, can someont post it or explain what the symptoms are so I can get me dealer to upgrade them. This sounds like a safety issue. Thanks
Little better explaination of the torsional forces at work on the rear wheel and swing arms.
Once you have the rear wheel and front wheel in the same track. The rear wheel is now set to push the motorcycle in a straight line, that is until the rear fork moves in
the rubber bushings. As long as you are running a straight line, the swing arm is moving in a vertical plane. In a turn (leaning the bike) the force moves the bushing right to left, or left to right, instead of just up and down, the torsional twist exerted causes the rear wheel to change direction. No longer is the bike rolling in a straight line. Augment this by a non-flat surface i.e. what might be termed a rolling washboard, you develop a wobble. The higher the speed, the faster or more drastic the wobble. Couple this up with a weak or broken front engine mount and you need to clean your pants once you get stopped.
