The speedometer on my '09 RoadKing did some strange things yesterday when I turned on the ignition switch.
It seemed to run thru some kind of reset procedure. Each of the indicator lights flashed on and off sequentially. Then the speedometer went from peg to peg and back to zero.
She started and ran fine after doing this.
She's never done anything like this before and ask if anyone here might have any ideas
Sounds like the WOW test, this is mentioned in the electrical service manual. If you hold the trip meter button while turning on the ignition the indicator lights all come on and the speedo and tach both go to full sweep, but normally the lights dont flash in sequence they just turn on.
That must be it!! I had just gotten gas and I was resetting the 'B' trip odometer. I must have turned the ignition switch and pressed the buttom at the same time.
