Default 09' Touring Mufflers not straight...

Recently a friend of mine replaced the factory mufflers on his 09' Ultra Classic with Supertrapp Slip Ons. After that, I noticed the muffler on the left side was not straight. It seemed to be out to the left a little bit. I just replaced the factory mufflers on my 09' Street Glide with Rush Slip Ons and I know this sounds crazy but mine is too. I've had other friends look at both bikes to make sure its not just me and they all said the left side muffler on both bikes was not straight. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it because I haven't seen any adjustment on them. Thanks...

I had the same issue and was told "they're all like that". So, I stopped looking at it so closely...

Straight on mine. I believe you can adjust them at the connecting flanges after loosening the rear hangers.

I was told this was due to spocket/belt clearance. Not sure I'm buying it but mine does it as well in addition to every other late model bagger I've seen.

Had the same problem on my 06 UC. I took that bike apart several times trying to correct it. Never could fix it. They are perfectly straight on my new bike. Maybe someone will post the fix I could not find it.

Well I feel better now. I was beginning to think it was just me. We've tinkered with mine and got it a little straighter by screwing with the factory crossover bracket and a bracket that ties the fender and the bag assembly together. Still not perfect but close enough that I can live with it... Thanks everyone...
