Default Poor Gas Mileage

I just got my '08 Ultra back from having the 103" kit and SE255 cams installed. Also had a Champion Trike Kit put on it. Already had the Ness A/C, Rineharts and SERT on it. I was gettin about 39 miles per gallon prior to the build and trike kit but now I'm at about 25 miles per gallon. It doesn't smell like it's running rich and my "Butt Dyno" tells me the tune is pretty good. I'm hoping the mileage will improve after it's broken in. Does this decrease in mileage sound normal to you guys?? I expected some loss due to the bigger engine and heavier *** end but it seems a little much to me. Other than bustin' my *** about the Trike Conversion I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Dang! There goes my Navy joke!

I am curious about the rest of your upgrades and how much of a difference they made. Considering doing that myself!

The bike ran great as a two wheeler with the A/C, True Duals and SERT. The big reason I went with the 103" and 255 cams was to get my power back up to compensate for the Trike Kit. The cams are long duration on the intake and put the torque "sweet range" roughly between 2500 and 4500 RPM. That gets the heavier trike moving no sweat!! I think the Trike will outrun the same 96" bike on two wheels on take off but it falls off a little in 5th gear if I let the RPM's drop. Gotta keep it above 2500 in 6th gear or it lugs to beat hell!! Overall I'm happy with the whole combination except fuel mileage!! Oh yeah......Ya gotta be careful of the Compression Releases....they'll blister your fingers if you forget your gloves!!!
